Carmen Bat is a versatile singer with twenty years’ music performance experience. A member of local acappella group The Gay Singers (姬聲雅士) and Opera Hong Kong Chorus, Carmen’s repertoire ranges from contemporary to classic and operatic. A coloratura soprano by training, Carmen has been actively performing as a soloist in public and private events since 2016. Her most performed repertoire includes Casta Diva (Bellini), Una voce poco fa (Rossini), Alleluia (Mozart) and Caro nome (Verdi). Carmen finds singing an enlightening and humbling experience that helps her recognize and appreciate her own uniqueness. A Christian herself, she is also fascinated by how singing is about using the breath that God breathed into her to bring delight to and serve others. Carmen holds an ATCL (diploma) in Singing from Trinity College London and a DipABRSM (diploma) in Piano Performance from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
Carmen loves helping people find their voices by teaching them effective techniques that have helped herself progressed quickly in the past 5 years. Her students are kids and adults with a passion to sing and a dream to always improve.
